The Audi

I have always loved the look and feel of an Audi. What is the history of the Audi and how did this amazing car come about? Lets first start with the symbol of the Audi. The four rings represent one of Germany’s oldest established automobile manufactures. It is the symbolism of 4 independent motor companies coming together as one. These four include Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer, which have now formed what we know as Audi AG.

In the 1930’s Audi AG supplied the widest range of vehicles that Germany could offer from motorcycle to luxury saloon. In the 1950’s Audi produced the first post-war passenger car. In 1968 Audi ventured in to the upper mid class for the first time! In 1969 Audi enters into the American market for the first time!

In 1980 Audi introduced the Quattro, which was the first high-performance vehicle with four-wheel drive.Over the years Audi has continued to improve its vehicles. They are now compared to brands like BMW and other leading brands. They have come along way since the 1930’s! Audi continues to impress the world and all of its competitors.

One day I would like to own an Audi but I guess until then I will have to keep dreaming!
