All About the Bentley

What is a Bentley and where do they come from? A Bentley is a British car company. W.O. Bentley founded the company in 1919. In 1919 the first Bentley came to life on the streets of London. Starting in the 1920’s W.O.’s company began to grow and became more and more successful. If the company had a vision back then it would have been to build a good, fast car that was best in it’s class.

These words are just as relevant today as they would have been back then. Located in England since 1946 and owned since 1998 by Volkswagen AG, Bentley motors is dedicated to building responsive and powerful cars refined in comfort and style.

Today there vision is “We are an authentic British motor company dedicated to the design, engineering and crafting of the world’s most respected high performance cars.” The company feels British authenticity is in their history – and in there blood.

Bentley companies currently employ 4,000 people worldwide and the average length of employment is 11 years. Bentley has regional offices based in the UK, USA, Germany, Japan, China, Singapore, Sydney, Korea, Mexico and Dubai. As the years go by Bentley’s car sales continue to increase. From 6,500 car sales in 2004, to over 10,000 car sales in 2007!
