Since so many car companies are seeing a significant shortage in vehicle purchases, many have disregarded their diesel models because the cost per gallon had skyrocketed. The demand for new, (especially diesel) rigs is extremely low. However, Audi is going with the reciprocal solution. They are introducing a new, TDI clean-diesel version of the Q7 SUV introduced last year. The Q7 is a great fit for a diesel power plant; its excellent highway mileage is far above that of the gasoline Q7, plus the hefty SUV gets around easily with its massive amounts of diesel torque. That said, though, while Audi has executed the Q7 diesel well, I’m not 100 percent convinced that diesel power is the way to go for every suburban family looking for a luxury SUV.

For 2010, the Q7 has Audi’s signature, eye-catching LED running lights available. As previous-model-year Q7 drivers pass the new 2010 model, most will gaze, green with envy. Yes, the lights are that noticeable, and yes, they look that cool.

So why offer a diesel engine in a family SUV? The TDI has the highest mileage ratings in the Q7 lineup at 17/25 mpg city/highway. Diesel engines typically log their best fuel economy during highway driving. However, those of you who do not do a lot of highway driving, don’t look away yet. The Q7 is surely appealing to nearly every kind of driver. The Q7 is high-tech, extremely spacious, and of course has a sleek and classy look that could catch anyone’s eye. Compared to other big-name vehicles, the diesel Q7 is also money saver per year when it comes to filling up that tank. Fueleconomy.gov estimates the annual fuel cost of the diesel Q7 to be $2,235 per year; the gasoline six-cylinder will cost $2,794 per year to fill up; and the eight-cylinder is projected to cost $2,981.

I wonder if many women would agree with me when I say that as a young potential mother, I am aware that it may be beneficial one day to upgrade my cute little 4-door wagon to a more appropriate, spacious SUV style vehicle. However, mini-vans and giant suburbans aren’t at the top of my preferences. The Q7 is a great example of a luxurious and attention-grabbing SUV that I would love to drive, solving the space vs style dilemma.

Overall, Audi is also a great company to buy from. I have never heard horrible remarks or experiences with an Audi vehicle, just many positive and satisfied comments that show substantial driver content.

After further researching this Audi model, I am actually sold on this SUV. I typically do research and have experiences with many vehicles primarily for the sake of writing, but I am truly caught up on the Q7.

I have always loved the look and feel of an Audi. What is the history of the Audi and how did this amazing car come about? Lets first start with the symbol of the Audi. The four rings represent one of Germany’s oldest established automobile manufactures. It is the symbolism of 4 independent motor companies coming together as one. These four include Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer, which have now formed what we know as Audi AG.

In the 1930’s Audi AG supplied the widest range of vehicles that Germany could offer from motorcycle to luxury saloon. In the 1950’s Audi produced the first post-war passenger car. In 1968 Audi ventured in to the upper mid class for the first time! In 1969 Audi enters into the American market for the first time!

In 1980 Audi introduced the Quattro, which was the first high-performance vehicle with four-wheel drive.Over the years Audi has continued to improve its vehicles. They are now compared to brands like BMW and other leading brands. They have come along way since the 1930’s! Audi continues to impress the world and all of its competitors.

One day I would like to own an Audi but I guess until then I will have to keep dreaming!
