GMC
GMC stands for General Motors Corporation. Today GMC is America’s second largest automaker and employees over 266,000 people around the world. It was founded on September 16th 1908. GMC’s global headquarters is in Detroit Michigan and is called the Renaissance Center. The domain gm.com is said to receive over 7 million visitors a year! Now that is power if you ask me!
GMC brands include:
- Buick
- Cadillac
- Chevrolet
- GMC
- Hummer

This list incorporates a lot of the vehicles that I have been researching. It is hard to believe that one company could produce so many automobiles, SUV’s and trucks. In 2007 2.7 million cars and trucks were produced in 19 countries! GM’s largest market is the United States followed by China, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom. Recently GM came out with On Star, which is a vehicle safety, and security provider I am sure you have heard of!
GMC is great at listening to the demands of there customers. GMC has developed hybrid electric models these include:
- 2009 Saturn Vue Green Line Hybrid
- 2009 Saturn Aura Green Line Hybrid
- 2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid
- 2009 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid
- 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid
